Butterfly.

Yesterday I entered the bathroom at midnight to wash my face and put on some lotion to sleep, when I suddenly look at the wall and I see this butterfly. I think s/he liked the environment around here, because s/he stayed for the whole day, I just checked it and now s/he’s gone. S/he looks harmless, but I really don’t like insects, I hate when they fly my way.

We were having this different week at school. A lot of soccer games and there was also a gymkhana, which I signed myself to play in an activity. The whole school were at the playing area, and although I thought I was being so dumb to do that, I enjoyed everyone looking at me and my friends, as we were trying to win this weird sport that teachers made up. We had to make a like with 3 people and walk crouching (really odd), unfortunately we didn’t win, to be honest we couldn’t even walk more than 20 inches. It seems to be a stupid thing to do, but it’s not. It’s difficult to walk that way.
Soccer games will continue next week, I like to watch the games, we don’t have classes then. But I won’t play anymore. I’ve given enough laugh to everyone.

It’s a Saturday afternoon, I’m in bed with my laptop writing this and listening to I’m yours by Jason Mraz, there’s nothing to do. I think parents will go out tonight for dinner, I will enjoy the silence and watch movies, it’s raining so I won’t go out with them I’m just too lazy.
I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately. I’ve already watched Serendipity, Love Comes Softly, The Kite Runner, Disturbia, Unrest, Saw IV and Silent Hill. They are kind of old, but this was the first time I watched them.
I haven’t decided which one I’ll watch tonight. I’ll tell you guys later.

As I expected when I was 10, I had this scaring conversation with my mother about what my life is going to be from now on. We talked for one hour or so, and I didn’t get anywhere. I didn’t know it was this complicated, stressful and strange. I told her I don’t want to go to college next year, I feel like I’m too young. She asked: “What are you going to do then?”, I was afraid to say “nothing”, then I said: “I don’t know, can’t you help me? You are not helping, you’re just making more and more questions, I don’t have answers.”
I think I want to go to another country next year, get involved with some English courses or something else, and work as an Au Pair, it’s a great program and I think it’s perfect for me, I’ll have one year to relax my mind and learn more English, and I do need to learn more English if I want to be a Translator – Interpreter.
There are a lot of things to think about, a lot of drama and stress. I feel like running away.

Plus, I’ve changed the blog’s theme again. It has this Gossip Girl picture now. Although it’s pretty silly, I like the show. I can relate.

Election day.

Yesterday was election day in Brazil. We had to vote for city mayor and council-man. It’s quite a big ‘event’ the election days here, we can’t just decide if we’re going to vote or not, if you have more than 18 years old you have to go there and ‘express your ideas’, if you don’t go you’ll have to pay a fine. People who are 16 and 17 can decide if they want to vote or not, same situation for people with more than 60 years. I’m 17, but I wanted to go, it was my first time. I waited something like 1 hour in the line, but once you get there it’s really fast, you just have to press some buttons and it’s done. We use a voting machine in Brazil like this one:

After voting, my parents and I went to my grandmother’s house to have lunch with her, as we usually do. My aunts were there, and also my new cousin Júlia. She’s so adorable and cute! She’s like enormous, and she’s just 40 days old.

Today I didn’t go to school, no special reasons, I just didn’t feel like going. I’m probably going to watch movies during the afternoon.

While reading some stuff on the Internet, I came to this article ‘Daniel Radcliffe Writes Gay Love Letter to Equus Co-Star’, it says: ‘Straight Daniel Radcliffe has a non-sexual man-crush on his Equus co-star, the also-straight Lorenzo Pisoni. He notes, “If I was gay or a female I’d just want to marry him. He’s gorgeous, and he’s a really cool bloke as well.” And then he blinded him with an awl.’ Uh well, there are more things about it, you may want to read it here.

By the way, I didn’t have such a nice day. The day (October 2nd) started rainy and I had to go to school, knowing that nobody (that I’m close to) would go. So, I went to school at 7 a.m. and there were 10 people in the classroom. It was such a horrible day! I couldn’t go back to my house because it was raining, but I felt like going. Okay, the day is gone.
I don’t have school tomorrow (October 3rd), yay!

Today’s title is dedicated to this very simple theme that I found while searching for something nice on WordPress, of course I couldn’t find anything cool, then I decided to use this one. I know it’s too simple, ugly and not attractive at all.

Life’s is just like always. It won’t change, if I don’t change it – as my mom always says -, I just don’t know how to change it. Nothing helps me at all. I live in this city that sounds more like a village, it’s really tiny, and there’s nothing to do. I hope it changes next year, it has to.

School is totally coming to an end, there are just 2 months left. I can’t complain, it was all that I wanted to happen. But it is weird. I’ve been wanting it since I started going to school, and now it’s finally over. Thinking that I won’t spend as much time as I’m used to spending with my friends, gives me the creeps. There’s also this career choosing thing, oh gosh! It’s a pain in the head. I’m too young to choose a career. That’s why I think I won’t go to college next year, then I can have more time to think about, and realize that school has really ended and the time to play has ended as well.
I must say that this is a very difficult period on a teenager’s life. No, I’m not being a drama queen.

Nobody wants to fail.

Resolvi postar em português hoje, só para variar um pouco, e hoje, domingo, parecia um ótimo dia para escrever em português.
Fazem milhares de anos que eu não escrevo nada aqui, o que sempre acontece. É que às vezes a gente cansa, e não tem vontade de fazer nada mesmo.
Antes de tudo, tenho que dizer que perguntar “Tudo bem?” não é um modo certo de saber como a pessoa está se sentindo. Você começa a pergunta com ‘tudo’, errado. Não acho – por esta vasta experiencia que eu tenho em relação à (in)felicidades – que está ‘tudo bem’ com alguém. A forma correta de se fazer esta pergunta, é: “Como vai você?” (que nos lembra de uma música não muito legal: ‘como vai você? que já modificou a minha vida…). Esta é a forma correta pelo simples fato de que a pessoa poderá dizer como realmente está se sentindo, o que não aconteceria se perguntassemos “tudo bem?” a pessoa responderia “não” e ai NADA estaria bem, o que pode não ser verdade. Ah, linguagem… uma coisa muito complexa.
Mas então, hoje meu dia foi até que legalzinho. Fui almoçar na casa da minha tia, minha vó estava lá. Foi aniversário dela dia 20, e nós compramos um bolo para ela, que chegou quando ela menos esperava. Acho que ela ficou contente, não sei se ela gosta de surpresas, mas foi legal. Minha prima (que completa um mês amanhã) estava lá, adoro babies, eles são tão adoraveis – quando não choram.
Choveu o dia todo, adoro.

Hello, hello! Necesitamos español!! Yes, we need it indeed.
Things are quite busy and difficult around here, guys. My uncle just arrived here from Peru with his new wife Eloisa, and guess what?! She only speaks Spanish and my parents and me do not speak Spanish! Although Spanish is really close to Portuguese (my native language) there are some words totally different. I don’t know how long they are going to stay here, but I think it will probably be something like 3 weeks, and that’s a REALLY long time. Well, at least it’s a good time to learn Spanish. Eloisa (my new aunt) has two daughters, Candy (5 years old – her name is in English) and Maria Eloisa (almost 1 year old), Candy is teaching me a lot of words.
Every day is so tiring, I have to help here, there and everywhere. Having so many guests (4) at the same time is a lot of work – this is a tip -, you have more than double things to do. It’s stressing everyone, and it’s been just two days since they got here.
School starts next week, and I will get there more tired than when I left.

Vacations.

When we see the word “vacation“, we get excited, don’t we? We sure do, but when you’re on vacations and there’s absolutely nothing to do, then the word vacation turns to be a nightmare. Yes, a nightmare indeed. My vacations are been useless, I haven’t used the time to do something worthwhile, the time to ‘rest and do something nice’ is passing me by and will finish soon.
I finished my English course. I had the final test some days ago and, unfortunately, I didn’t got the result I was hoping to get. There were the tiring 120 questions with multiple choices and 3 topics to write about, I don’t know the final grade yet, because the written section has not yet been corrected, but I do know that there were 20 wrong questions as the secretary told me (she corrects the multiple choices questions) and my teacher will correct the written section. It’s ok, because we cannot always be the best.
This past week, my aunt was here. She spent the whole week here with my cousin, she was getting some rest, “my husband is such a pain in the a** and I need to rest,” as she says. I had a great time with her, we’re really close and it’s such a shame that she had to go back to her house.
School starts again in probably a week, which is a shit. I know I’ve been bored at home, but more sleep and TV won’t kill.

Hello everyone! Thank you all for the comments.
Today I’m going to start with something happy: I’m on vacations! YAY! It means that I have something like one month of winter break, I think school starts again on August 4th, not sure though. Hahaha I don’t care because I’m not looking forward to go back to school again. However, after this break I will have more 4 or 5 months of school and then it’s over, kind of sad, because I won’t see the people I’m used to seeing everyday.
Although I have this time out of school, I have a really important test coming soon, I have to study very hard, because I really need a good grade, hopefully I will get one (thinking positive helps a lot).
The week was just normal. Except for the fact that I found out that everyone hates our biology teacher, I thought some nerds liked him. He’s a bastard, he refused to say the grades we got on our tests (I know I got a zero, but I still want to see it)
On Saturday my dad, mom and I went out shopping, we were looking for a cradle. No, my mom is not having a third child, thank god! Hahaha. It’s just my little cousin that is about to be born, my mom is going to be her godmother and dad’s going to be her godfather. Her name will be Julia, she’s about to come to this world on August. The cradle is really beautiful (and expensive), its white and has a vintage style. Today (Sunday) we went to my grandmother’s house to have lunch with her, we ended up having dinner as well hahaha.
